Deep blushed lacquered lips

Lipstick is possibly my favourite makeup product, of all time. With my pale complexion and deeply creasing eye-lids, I find that my lips are what I can create a statement with, with the use of a fabulous lipstick, lacquer or gloss! In todays post, I wanted to show you two of my most recent lip purchases, and how they look, when combined together!

When I excitedly visited my local Space NK the other day, I went straight over to the Nars counter, where I more than drooled over the beautiful array of shades, that were on display! My favourite type of lip product, has to be a matte lipstick, and since I’ve begun to find my preferred colours are of a berry, deep or plum type shade…when I came across Volga, I instantly fell in love!

I find a lot of lipsticks can appear to be more intimidating than they actually are, so if you’re thinking of trying a new lip product, yet are worried the colour looks to dark, swatch and sample it with the testers that are on show, and I can reassure you that you will be pleasantly surprised. This colour is more of a deep wine colour, which glides on beautifully upon the lips. Again, the good thing with these types of lipsticks, is that it is build able. You could simply dab it on the lips for a subtle hint of colour, or get a lip brush and really layer the product up, creating as strong a lip colour as you wish!

The next item I purchased, was one that intrigued me greatly! I have never owned a lip lacquer before, so when I spotted the last one of these perfectly purpled lip products in Topshop, I wanted to try it right away. When applying to the lips, this lacquer goes on, almost like a gloss, yet dries completely matte! A-M-A-ZING! This may now be my new favourite product. Eek, I get far too excited over these things haha!

Since I purchased both lip products on the same day, with full intention of filming a new Youtube video later on that day, it took me no time at all before I got them both on my lips, and wondered what they would look like, when applied together. And, as you can see from the images, this was the result! I was really happy with the outcome, and know these two are going to take me right through the year, through all seasons, which is both exciting and reliving, as I always want to get my moneys worth when spending £10 or over on a lip product.

If you’ve not tried products from either Nars, or Topshop, you should. They did not disappoint!
