New Jewellery Finds

When a good piece of jewellery catches my eye, it has a delicate yet statement quality about it – a piece that can be worn from day to night, with a little helping hand from an outfit switch up. I’ve been after a few new pieces for a while now, yet nothing grabbed me as much as these two.

I’ve lusted over jewellery designs from the likes of Lily-Kamper and such, predominantly over the perfect cyber world some call Pinterest, yet nothing I had seen in a while, which was in my price range (aka high street or nothing), seemed quirky enough. Then on a fantastic weekend to London with my girls, as Topshop as the first pit stop from Oxford Street tube station, an array or jewellery such as this screamed at me at first glance. (It was love).

The marble details within the design, combined with its unusual shape and simplistic choker all work harmoniously…and I’m thinking how I can harmonise it with that wardrobe of mine :p. With jewellery like that, I think it’s important to remember that less is more’. I’ve already worn this piece to work over buttoned up black and white shirts, with crop tops and long skirts in the evenings and even over jumpers. It’s an item I know I can wear time and time again, season upon season. And for just under £15 – I think I found a right gem. (ha ‘gem’ lol).

My next item, is something I’d been wanting to get my hands on for ages, however went back and forth continually, contemplating whether something like this would suit me and if it would be appropriate to pair with my everyday looks. The only way to find out, was to bite the bullet and just buy one. So, Asos – the heaven of online shopping, came through again, with this little beauty.

Now, I must say, it was a difficult choice, as Asos have SO many to choose from, but I wanted to try something more diddy and delicate, so for under a tenner, this piece was purchased. It did take me a while to get the hang of how it actually fit on my head, as I kept letting go of the chains when gripping them in place, but I soon learn’t and absolutely adore it!

I can’t wait to wear it on a night out soon. Have you got any new statement jewellery that you know you’ll be wearing time and time again? I’d love to know! Big loves, Holly x

If you’ve been following my latest style collections on Grabble, you will notice my most recent one showcases items I would wear to Wimbledon! With the games kicking off this week, and a huge hype from most retailers regarding inspirational looks, I decided to share with you, my most favourite grabs, from a number of affordable brands!

The Fashion at Wimbledon seems to develop year by year, with each one evolving into something that eludes a little sports luxe feel, combined with a feminine edge. Now, I may not be the biggest sporting fan, but I do understand the concept behind accessorising, according to sporting equipment, and so on!…#sorrynotsorry. *Chuckle*.

Styling up items such as these (see image above), can be as simple, or as complicated and colourful as you wish them to be. For me, I like to keep things simple, with the strike to the eye coming from a statement piece. In this instance, the necklace. This beautiful piece from Warehouse  is not only a delightfully delicate design, but an affordable one too! Priced at just £20, this stunning necklace is the perfect piece when pairing with a more subtle and toned down outfit.

Are you attending Wimbledon this year? Perhaps you’re getting together with friends to watch the games and get dressed up! Whatever the occasion, I’d love to know what your favourite picks are. Show me on Grabble by creating a collection!

Please see further details of other items below, including prices and further retailer info.

Big loves, Hollybobs x

SS14 | Pretty in pastel

It isn’t often I wear a hue of blue, but today I dared to be different, well…sort of! This seasons pastel trend is huge, consequently, my interest in rocking an item of clothing, evoking this magnificent pastel tone, has rapidly grown throughout the past couple of months. I have had this pastel Blue coloured full length playsuit, just sitting in my wardrobe for almost a year now and was a lovely little find from Asos. I knew the structure of the outfit was enough to make a statement on its own, so I was quite pleased that the colour was so delicate, which I thought was very wearable.

In this post, I wanted to prove that paired with a paler complexion, it most certainly can be worn all year round. Most peoples perceptions of pastel colours, is one that is seen to suit more of a tanned skin tone. However, with some complimentary makeup, hair and accessories, anyone can wear it!

I hope to do many more Spring, Summer 2014 trend/outfit posts within the next coming weeks, so do let me know if there is anything in particular you would like to see me post/style up. I have really enjoyed creating this post for you style lovers, and look forward to making the most of the more perhaps un-loved items with my wardrobe, as I know there are some treasures in there, I just have to delve rather deep :).

What are your favourite pastel colours? Leave me links, i’d love to see your outfits too.
