AW14 Date Night Lust List!

i2style aw14

Hello style lovers! I hope you’re enjoying the weekend so far.

With the weather transitioning from rays to rain, this season doesn’t have to be dull and dreary, like some people may associate with September onwards, especially within the wardrobe department! For me, this season is all about sparkle, snuggles and sass! With the exciting lead up to events such as Bonfire night, Christmas and New Year, one popular occasion I often think is perfect to plan around this time of year, is date night!

For us long term relationshipers’ – ‘date night’ occurs on the rather rare occasion, and for those newbie couples, it can’t happen enough! Either way, whoever you are (even if you’re an independent woman & fancy some new outfit inspiration for your night out with the gals), I have the cutest date night lust list, right here, on i2style! I recently participated in a fashion blogger photoshoot for a fab company called Gemini…and let me tell you, there was some serious lusting going on behind those rails! Both their online site and stunning store, located in the sophisticated little town of Stratford Upon Avon, is home to a number of wearable and on trend brands. Ones such as French Connection, Sandwich Clothing, Hobbs and more, it really is a place for everyone!

After our divine day at the shoot, (photos to follow soon), I decided to have a real good look at some of the items, I may have missed in store, by going online. After looking through just a few of the brands they stock, I was already finding myself creating an imaginary lust list, and thought the items would be perfect for a date, day or night! As a result I thought what better way of expressing my love for some of the garments, than with this very blog post, so you all can too, get a little outfit inspo.

I chose to share these more softer, cool toned pastel items, due to their feminine prints, cuts and over all look. They would all work well together, with the added option of a pair of tights or leggings, if the frost decided to bite more than we’d perhaps like! The boots seemed to give the outfit a subtle, yet sexy, statement look too – without over powering it.

Let me know your thoughts on the items shown above, and what your favourite items are from the site. Perhaps you could create your own lust list too, and don’t forget to send me and Gemini the link, as we’d love to see!

Big loves, as always, Hollybobs x

My favourite Autumnal Lip colour!

img_6405 autumn lipstick

It’s no surprise that I’m a huge lover of a bold lip, yet occasionally I like something a little more muted, something that enhances natural tones of the season and something that lifts your own skin with a little more warmth. And so, the No.7 moisture drench lipstick is my number ONE go to this Autumn and it does all of those above ‘somethings’ plus more! This colour is called shiny conker, which is rather appropriate for this time of year don’t you think?

I bought this lipstick from boots a couple of weeks ago & have never really looked into the No.7 range as intently as I did that day! The array of gorgeous colours excited me, a lot…and every shade seems to have a moisture glaze infused into it just beautifully! I usually head straight to a matte lipstick, however this time of year can mean that certain lipsticks can grab hold of & even enhance any hint of a chapped or split lip, due to the biting cold weather. So if you’re looking for a lip colour that has moisturising properties and an incredible staying power, I’d get yourself down to the No.7 counter and buy one for £9.50!…do it, do it now! 😉 autumn lipstick Autumn lipstick Autumn lipstick Autumn lipstick

The perfect Autumn/Winter Boot!

Most Gals (& even some Guys) I know have been on the hunt for the perfect Autumn/Winter pair of boots lately! The ground has begun to fill with crunchy iridescent leaves and the occasional puddle…which I’m sure will become more and more frequent as the weeks go on! (as y’know, this is England and all).

Now, it’s no surprise that everyone knows my love for the high street and especially H&M. H&M is probably my most favourite high street store and has grown on me a lot more over the past few years. Its array of versatile garments actually fill me with joy and did not fail to do so when I went in last week to have a peak at their wide variety of Autumn/Winter boots! I was amazed at the amount of different styles, colours and designs they have in at the moment and it excited me a lot, I actually was stuck for choice at one point! In the end however I went with this pair of beauties! (See above/below).

My aim was to find a pair of boots that screamed out style and sturdiness, and I think these very much display that & more! As you can see the black and gold embellishment combo really works for this seasons must have trends, and just gives the look that little more umph! To me they elicit a slight hint of a military vibe, with its rigid statement back and slick/smooth frontage. The boots also have a tiny heel that could be worn from day to evening if you didn’t want to trudge through the leaves in a dainty pair of heels.

These were featured in my last blog post, if you hadn’t noticed already and thought how appropriate they really are for A/W13, that I just had to share them with you a little more closer up. Priced at £34.99, this pair of H&M beauts are going to hopefully stay with me for a very long time! If you’ve bought any boots lately and you just know how strong, sturdy and stylish they are…let me know! I’m always on the hunt for a long lasting staple pair :).
