As part of a London Fashion Week Press Day, I was fortunate enough to meet the incredible ladies from Puriskin, AcuREGEN. With backgrounds in alternative therapy, acupuncture and the Medical professions, these are women who understand the importance of a natural product. Having sensitive skin myself, with family members who suffer from severe eczema, beauty products such as these bring music to our ears. Especially now we’re coming into the harsh, colder weather, and the need for extra moisture is at it’s highest!
I was lucky enough to have a custom made lipstick created for me, according to my needs and general tastes. With any colour being possible, I was excited to get started and to see first hand how they can make a lipstick so fast without the need for harsh chemicals. Botanically formulated and enriched with natural Grapeseed and organic jojoba oil, these are ingredients which reflect the human oils that the body naturally produces, (meaning its a much lower risk product in terms of skin reactions).
The most exciting part for me was not only seeing my chosen colour form (I asked for a frosted lilac colour perfect for the winter), but the opportunity to add in further customisable elements, such as scents and flavours. Again, all 100% natural, I asked fora moisterising Vanilla, (though it was tempting when the offer of citrus flavours were put in front of me). They also do a plant-based lip treat formula, very similar to a lip balm, which I think i’ll be purchasing very soon.
Do see the images and Youtube video, showing some of the processes and keep an eye out for the next post, where I’ll be sharing my latest winter frost shoot, where I wear my brand new lipstick in conjunction with a fab faux fur jacket. Have you heard of acuRgenen? Let me know in the comments below what colour lipstick you would go for this winter, and do check these ladies out, they do not disappoint.
