A ‘Berry’ Autumnal OOTD!

Good afternoon Style lovers! I hope you’re all well and are enjoying this beautiful time of year.

Today i’d like to share with you a little outfit inspiration post, perfect for an Autumnal day or evening out! Whilst the leaves begin to crisp and the air starts to bite, I have put together a few of my favourite pieces, that will keep you as snug as a bug, yet still managing to give you that on trend and glamorous look.

One of my favourite trends this season, is the extension of the floral trend. We saw it boom throughout SS14, and has developed into something i’m sure will carry us right through to the heart of winter! With the subtle features of Autumnal colour ways and more warm toned prints, florals are the perfect ‘pop’ of something, when paired with items that are a little more muted down. This stunning floral shirt, placed underneath my favourite faux fur collared cape (by Next), is from H&M at a fantastic 19.99 – although I recently heard it’s now cheaper if you buy online, so gogogo my little floral friendlings!

To draw the Autumnal colours out of my shirt, I decided to add a block berry coloured head piece, by wearing my gorgeous Gemini hat! As stated within my previous post, Gemini is a leading independent, selling brands such as French Connection (which is who this hat is by), Hobbs, Sandwich Clothing….and many more, so go and give them a cheeky check out and a like on Facey B! This piece adds a little statement to the outfit, and in my opinion, brings it all together. What would we do without accessories, ay?

Finally I’m wearing my trusty, chunky shoes from Topshop, and a pair of subtle snake print like leggings :). What items are you loving at the moment? If you have any favourites or have written a similar outfit post to this, leave me a link in the comments, as i’d love to check them out!

AW14 Wearable Styling with Gemini-Fashion!

i2style gemini shoot

image

Gemini – A leading independent stockist, selling contemporary British, Scandinavian and European fashion!

To me, Gemini is THE perfect go-to online store, in terms of finding those all essential wearable pieces, for any type of occasion or season! Since October has gracefully greeted us with its glistening presence, and true leaf-crunching nostalgia, I decided to share a few of my favourite Autumn/Winter items, predominantly from one of Gemini’s most growingly popular ranges, Sandwich-Clothing.

Gemini invited myself and two other babe’in bloggers, Sophie & Steph, into their Studio, where we had the opportunity to style up some of the pieces, shown below. I wanted to showcase a variety of wearable looks, in terms of professional work wear and day wear, which could also be easily transformed into an evening outfit, with just a change in accessories or shoes. Ofcourse, this season’s must have colours, include ones that are magically muted down and wonderfully warm, with the odd pop of cool tones, thrown in for good measure! It’s certainly an exciting time of year, and is one of my favourites, due to the versatility of layering!

I’m also a huge fan of appropriately enhancing a fresh face…which leads me on to the next exciting element of the shoot! The day with Gemini also consisted of some rather insightful hair and makeup prep, created by two lovely ladies, over at Benefit cosmetics and Mathew Curtis hair salon. Consequently, if you’re interested in seeing a separate blog post, focussing upon the latest AW hair & makeup trends, then do let me know in the comments, as i’d love to include some of the advice I was given, from my day too!

So, without further or do, grab a cuppa, load up Gemini, and if you’re interested in a little AW fashion inspo, then do scroll on.

With this look, it’s all about the hat! Adding statement accessory pieces can really work wonders in terms of creating an on trend, yet wearable look, no matter the occasion or season. Make sure you take some ‘snaps’ too – polaroids preferable!

This look just oozes a leisurely ladies lunch date! With a coffee in one hand, and perhaps some shopping bags in the other?, this look is perfect for taking you from the cold to warm in a matter of layers. The boots are SO cute too!

Finally, if you fancy quirking it up a little, why not get creative with your comfys! Wearing heeled boots and a statement necklace with more casual and muted down items, gives the outfit wearability and style.

There are so many more outfits I’d have loved to have shared, but I think it’s time you took a peek for yourself! Do let me know what staple pieces you’re loving this season, and if you’ve styled them up, leave your links in the comments below!

OOTD Zara Style!

i2style

i2style

I recently purchased some of the most simple, yet slick items from the Zara Sale! To my delight, the items I bought, were ones that I’d had my eye on for quite a while. So, as soon as that Zara Sale email came through, at MIDNIGHT…I was quick to scout out the last remaining sizes, (which I think was quite impressive, considering the whole night time, zombie eye combination)! To start, I chose this beautiful white dress, due to a number of reasons. Firstly, I hardly own any white, and since my hair got lighter, I decided my wardrobe staples should too! Also, the Wimbledon Fashion hype is still gracing us on the majority of online sites, so I thought to hell with it and decided to embrace the sports luxe vibe!

Now, let’s talk about the shoes! Oh my lordy. Ever since interviewing the ravishing Rosie Fortescue, from Made In Chelsea, I couldn’t stop thinking about THOSE shoes. She must have thought I was a slight odd ball, almost dribbling whilst staring down at her fabulous feet, haha! They’re strappy, gold and black delights, with a hidden comfort velcro feature, making them even more slick to slip on! I spotted these beauties months ago, even before my interview with Rosie, yet couldn’t really afford the price tag. So, yet again, when I saw they went on sale, they were the first item in my basket. And what a marvellous decision it was too! 😀

If you’ve bought any goodies from the Zara Sale, what did you get? Any bloggers blogged about it? I’d love to see! The Zara Sale is still on, so go, go, go! Get some goods before it’s too late. Big loves, Hollybobs x

Styling my Katy Perry Prism Necklace

i2style

Hello Guys & Gals, it’s that time again, where the classically, cool Claire’s brings excitement to shop floors, for yet another Spring, Summer Season! With the launch of the recent Katy Perry Prism Collection, I was quick to pick up a piece and style it up. I was drawn to this beautiful gold and gum metal statement necklace, that features the rather appropriate ROAR wording and other Katy Perry Prism symbols! The necklace itself, sits really well and literally goes with everything.

I have worn this piece almost everyday, to work, in my recent catch up Vlog, on nights out…and now, within this photoshoot for the purpose of this post! It’s such a versatile piece that you really can wear with anything. Being a fan of the ol’ Monochrome look, I chose to pair this beauty, with a chic black little number and a statement makeup look & bag. I thought the colours would work well with all pieces, focussing on specs of mustard and canary yellow, deep shades of purple and of course, black. These colours suit my type of skin tone, if put together delicately, and i’m sure so many others CAN all rock this too!

I’m waiting for a rather special and sassy occasion to wear this outfit, although wearing it around my garden makes me feel more than satisfied, that I’ve got the most out of an outfit :p. Have you been wearing similar pieces this season? If so, what are they? The Katy Perry Prism Collection, as a whole, is fun, on trend and most importantly affordable. For such an iconic and inspirational Lady, she sure has succeeded creating…well, just that! After being a fan of Claire’s since I was a child, I’m so pleased its been able to aid me in all my Accessory needs, right the way through into Adulthood and I genuinly look forward to continuing this beautiful shopping journey with them in the future!

Black & Gold Luxe Outfit

i2styleheaderblackngold

i2style

This look is something that i’ve wanted to put together for a while now. I wanted to create something that showed off that sense of sophistication, an element of luxury and something that’s still bang on trend, using predominantly black with a hint of gorgeous burnt orange or gold.

I created a makeup look to compliment the look, using my recent Naked 3, Urban Decay palette. It’s such a beautiful palette, filled with rose golds, which have a pure warming undertone. I also wanted to use a contrasting and statement lipstick, so I chose to use this vibrant orange from the Makeup store (Carnaby Street).

The coat shown within my images, pulls the look together, and, for me, is my favourite item of the whole look! From River Island, this chic, faux fur, feathered, black and gold embellished piece, not only screams occasion, but it elicits something of a richer quality and design. I adore it! I paired it with a simple black shirt, from Topshop, and a similarly embellished black and gold skirt, also from Topshop (in their HQ sample sale). My belt, featured before within this blog post, is also from River Island.

To me, an outfit like this should be worn at a special occasion within the winter months. It’s not too formal, yet is still very elegant, classy and has an edge of high end fashion to it, despite all the items being from the hightstreet! It just proves how inexpensive an outfit can be, just with the right accompaniments and a striking lip!

If you’ve found any classic black and gold items recently and have posted about them on your blog, leave me a link…i’d love to see them! :)

Big loves, Holly x
